General Fire BanJuly 20, July 2026
A General fire ban applies within the municipal area of Adliswil until further notice.
This measure is due to the heightened risk of fire resulting from prolonged dry weather.
Persistent dry conditions and high temperatures have further increased the overall risk of fire. The sporadic rainfall over the past few days has been insufficient to significantly alleviate the dryness and the associated fire risk. Consequently, a general fire ban is in effect in Adliswil starting Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
This measure is intended to protect the public, the natural environment, and infrastructure.
The fire ban covers:
- lightening open fires
- setting off fireworks of any kind
- using wood, coal, or charcoal grills
- Discarding burning or smoldering
- Smoking materials and Matches
- The use of gas and electric grills remains permitted, provided they are placed on a fireproof surface and are stable (not prone to tipping over)
Thegeneral fire ban remains in effect until revoked. The full text of the official decision can be found in the official publication (external link opens in a new window).Impact on the National HolidayThe traditional bonfire for the Swiss National Holiday (August 1) was scheduled for July 31. Due to the current fire ban, the event cannot take place at this time. Should the situation change, further information will be provided.
